The Dinorwic QH Cab was a 0-4-0 narrow-gauge quarry locomotive equipped with an enclosed cab for improved crew protection in the harsh working conditions of slate quarries. Built for industrial shunting on steep, uneven, and sharply curved track, it featured four coupled driving wheels that provided strong low-speed traction and excellent maneuverability. The cabbed version retained the rugged, compact design of the original QH type while offering better comfort and safety, making it highly effective for daily operations in demanding quarry environments.
